Polished Pink is one of the new in-colours that goes live in May this year. It is not one of the “pinkiest” pinks you have ever seen. I love how bold and bright is. This card also uses two of the other new in-colours, Soft Succulent ( the DSP) and Evening Evergreen (the cardbase).

I love how all these colour work so well together. They just pop and make me happy. The rhinestones as the flower centres are the perfect finishing touches.

measurements

  • Evening Evergreen A6 Cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and the folded in half
  • Soft Succulent Designer Series Paper – (DPS) – 14.35cm X 10cm

I love this die that cuts these windows of paint swatches. The designer series paper (DSP) is the Fine Floral and I think it also looks like a flaming sunset. The sentiment makes me laugh as I am definitely not someone who likes to stay out late. The cutouts from the black paint swatch dies have been saved for a future card as well.

measurements

  • Thick Basic White A6 Cardstock – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Fine Art Floral DSP – 14.35cm X 10cm
  • Basic Black – 14.35cm X 10cm

As you may know I’m not a fan of fancy fold cards. Having said that, I’m trying to push myself our of my comfort zone and do more. This turned out quite well I think. The card is kept closed using a magnet hidden behind the sentiment. Pink and red are not colours that people put together very often but if done well as here, it looks good.
