A Simple Yet Striking Christmas Design

Sometimes, less really is more. This elegant Christmas card shows how leaving plenty of white space can make your design feel modern, fresh, and sophisticated. At 6” x 6”, it’s the perfect size to give your stamped wreath centre stage, while keeping the look clean and uncluttered.

Featuring the Most Wonderful Stamp Set

For this card, I used the Most Wonderful stamp set. The beautiful sentiment has been heat embossed in gold powder, which really adds that festive shimmer and luxury feel. Surrounding the words, the wreath is stamped in Shaded Spruce, bringing a classic Christmas green to the design. The combination of gold and green against crisp white makes this card both timeless and stylish.

Why White Space Works

Many crafters feel the urge to fill every inch of their card front, but white space is a powerful design tool. It draws the eye straight to the focal image—in this case, the elegant wreath and sentiment—while giving the card a balanced, professional finish. Embracing white space can make your handmade cards look effortlessly polished.

Measurements

  • Thick Basic White Cardstock – 6″ X 12″ scored at 6″.

Perfect for Quick but Elegant Christmas Cards

This design is simple to create, yet has maximum impact. If you’re looking to make multiple Christmas cards this year without spending hours on each one, this is a great choice. With just stamping and heat embossing, you can achieve a truly elegant result.

Tidings All Around Christmas Wreath Card

I have another Christmas Card to share with you today. This card uses the Tidings All Around stamp set. This set has a matching die set which also coordinates with another set in the Autumn/Winter catalogue, Seasonal Wreaths.

I’ve used Shaded Spruce as the green in this card. I sponged the wreath with Shaded Spruce to give the wreath some definition. The red rhinestones give it a nice bit of bling.

I love background stamps. I don’t think we always use them enough in cardmaking. The one used here is called Birch and gives the effect of an old wooden door.

Measurements

  • Shaded Spruce A6 Cardbase (This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half)
  • Whisper White 14.35cm x 10cm

I love wreaths at Christmas time. I have a few around the house. There are two fabric ones that I made out of scraps of fabric. I cut each piece of fabric into a square and then fold and stitch them to create a leaf. Each wreath has about 100 of these fabric leaves.
