I’ve always loved the combination of blue and red. Do you like it? The colours here are Balmy Blue, Azure Afternoon and Poppy Parade. I’ve coloured the little house to look like a gingerbread house. The image is from the Humble Home stamp and punch bundle. I love punches. The colouring was done using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. I love them, they are easy to use and produce great results.

Measurements

  • Azure Afternoon Cardstock – A6 Card Base – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half.
  • Basic White Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm
  • Balmy Blue Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm

I love paper that has a variety of individual images with a “white space” around them. They are perfect for fussy cutting. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not a fan of fussy cutting but it does have its place. It is a great skill to master as it allows you to create a ton of die cuts from one piece of paper. Luckily here the matching Reindeer Fun dies will cut out some of the images in the Reindeer Days paper. As you can see here, I’ve used paper to create this card.

Measurements

  • Thick Basic White Cardstock – A6 Card Base – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half.
  • Real Red Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm.
  • Reindeer Days designer series paper (DSP) – 10cm X 3cm X 2 pieces

I love this design from the Reindeer Days designer series paper (DSP). It is gorgeous. This a straightforward and effective fancy-fold Christmas card. I love the combination of colours. Do you agree? I think the birds are Red Cardinals but I’m not sure. Do you know? In the UK our main Christmas bird is a robbin and these birds are not robbins.

  • Basic White Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm

I love all deer. Reindeer have been synonymous with Christmas since the poem “Twas the Night Before Christmas”. You won’t find reindeer where I am in the UK. There was a company that used to bring them for a parade to Lincoln many years ago. That has stopped and I am glad as I used to feel sorry for the poor deer in small enclosures on concrete paving.

This image of her mother deer and her baby melts the heart. Deer are graceful and athletic creatures and to see them in their natural habitat is such a treat. These deer are coloured using only a couple of different Stmapin’ Blend alcohol markers. You don’t need a huge collection to achieve a beautiful image.

The minute I saw the Snowy Wonder stamp set in the new catalogue, I knew I wanted it. I love all these small images. They are versatile. I have so many ideas for future cards using this set. Today I’ve used the gorgeous little penguin. In my mind, the penguin is dancing with the candy cane. I was thinking of Fred Astaire but as a penguin.
