A Royal Peacock using the set from Stampin’ Up!

I love peacocks. This card is very simple as it is using the “Royal Peacock” as the main focal image on top of designer series paper (DSP).

measurements

  • Coastal Cabana A6 cardbase ( A6 is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half)
  • Bermuda Bay DSP from the Brights 6″ X 6″ stack – 10cm x 14.35cm

When I live in London, I was working very close to Holland Park and there are peacocks in Holland Park. They are very tame and in the Spring they love to display to anyone who is watching. I have numerous photos of them displaying. They turn around in a full circle so that everyone can get a good photo. They have a very distinctive squawk which can be heard through the whole park.

I remember one year, there were babies and my workplace had a competition to name the four new babies. It was very exciting to see the new baby peacocks.

I gave the peacock a beautiful rhinestones tail to display just like the peacock in Holland Park.

I have a video and supply list below for you.

Card for any occasion, perfect for a crafter that uses the Follow your Art Suite of products from Stampin’ Up!

I love this card and the suite of products that go with it. When I first saw the Follow Your Art paper in the catalogue my heart soared. This card and suite or products is perfect for any crafter. It literally speaks our language. The stamp set has images of ribbons, buttons and a binder clip among others.

I have used the coordinating paper for several projects that you will see in the next few weeks. There are papers with images of glue guns, paint brushes, buttons etc… A dream for someone like me.

Back to this card which uses one my favourite colours coastal cabana. I stamped the images using black stazon and then coloured them in using both of our sets of watercolour pencils.

Measurements

The card base is a standard A6 card base and the designer series paper (DSP) measures 14.35cm x 10cm.

As you can most probably tell, I’m head over heels about this suite of products. Have a look at the suite and tell me what is your favourite item or image. I would love to know!! If you don’t have a catalogue request one here.
