I was proud of this idea of a rainbow bridge made using the cloud punch. The highlights on the clouds are made using a white gel pen. The little kitty sitting under the bridge waiting for his owner is coloured using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers.

It is always difficult making cards such as these but I hope this would bring comfort.

The rainbow bridge is a pastel rainbow and my colours are:

  • Petal Pink
  • Calypso Coral
  • Lemon Lolly
  • Soft Sea Foam
  • Balmy Blue
  • Highland Heather

measurements

  • Balmy Blue Cardstock – A6 Card Base – this is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Basic White Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm X 2 pieces

This is a simple design. I have just layered die cuts in complimentary colours finishing with a layer of pretty paper. The die set is Countryside Corners. The colours here are Moody Mauve and Bubble Bath. I do love the names Stampin’ Up! comes up with, don’t you?

I made this card in two colour ways. Which do you like best? Let me know in the comments below.

I was thinking of RAKs when I made this card. When I first got into crafting I had no idea what a RAK was. Then I found out it means “Random Act of Kindness”. So sweet!! I have some goodies this year for a few RAKs and giveaways. Stay tuned to my blog and Facebook group for all the information.

The colouring on this card was super quick using the Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. I love how easy they are to blend and they also give me great results.

I love rainbow cards. They are such fun to make. The colours I’ve used for my rainbow are:

  • Real Red
  • Pumpkin Pie
  • Daffodil Delight
  • Granny Apple Green
  • Pacific Point
  • Gorgeous Grape

I stamped little hearts in the centre of the big hearts. They look so cute. I made two versions of this card. The one above is less busy than the one below. Which do you prefer?

Most of the time we tend to use embossing folders with plain cardstock. I’ve used it here with the Distressed Gold speciality paper. It gives a great effect so different to using it with plain cardstock. I’ve used the Metal Plate embossing folder and it really gives this look with the Distressed Gold paper.

The trick to this technique is to use a very light hand when inking over your embossed image. You just need to glide your blending brush over the embossed image with no pressure at all. This way it will pick up the raised embossing only.

I’ve kept this card very tonal. The silver spring charm is quite chunky so make sure it is securely attached using glue dots or wet glue.

This card has a lovely vintage feel to it. Can’t believe it started out as plain Sahara Sand Cardstock. I used the same colour, Crumb Cake which is just a shade darker than Sahara Sand to do all the stamping and blending. It gives it a cohesive look. I kept the blending dark on the edges to give a border and make the centre pop.

measurements

  • Early Espresso Cardstock – A6 Cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Sahara Sand – 14.35cm X 10cm

I made this cute card to send to a friend who just went into hospital now in April when I’m writing this. I will have this to her by the time this goes live and wanted to share it with you.

This is the Hand-Penned suite of products from Stampin’ Up! and it is new in the new annual catalogue. If you don’t have a copy of the catalogue and want one, then just click here to request one. This suite has a glorious stamp set, matching dies and of course pretty paper. I’ve used them all on this card. It is a two-step stamp set which the Stamparatus makes a doddle to use.

I love the new colour Pale Papaya. In South Africa where my mother’s family reside we call papaya, pawpaw so you will most probably hear me refer to it like that from now on.

This is a pretty card for a very sad occasion. My mother unfortunately had the need to send a sympathy card recently and this is what I came up with for her to send.

It uses the pretty Hand-Penned designer series paper (DSP) that is in the new catalogue. It has this lovely and light feel to it. Of course, there are matching stamps and dies in the suite. I love the sketchy watercolour feel. The sentiment is from an old favourite of mine “Peaceful Moments”. I am so glad it didn’t retire in May as I use it all the time. If you want to request a new catalogue just click here.

Recently, sadly I needed to make a sympathy card. I decided to share this with you in case you are in the same situation. I was unsure how to go about designing such a card, so I went for simple and easy. The stamp set is actually one I just acquired during Sale-a-bration. I didn’t think I would use it, but there you go. The designer series paper (DSP) is Paper Blooms which is absolutely gorgeous. It gives the perfect backdrop to the sentiment.
