I like blending inks. You can make your own custom backgrounds so easily. I blended Lost Lagoon and Coastal Cabana here. I started off with the lighter colour and then blended in the darker colour, going back and forward between the two to achieve a blend.

The card below is a different colour way. The colours are Flirty Flamingo and Calypso Coral. Which do you like best?

Try Something New -Embossed Resist Technique

Try Something New – Embossed Resist Technique – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

I felt like trying something new in my cardmaking. I have done the embossed resist technique a few times before but not for a long time.

Try Something New – Embossed Resist Technique

Sponging ink on to my cardstock have always been a technique I struggled with. The sponge squeaks and it comes out super blotchy. I struggle to blend the colours. I was watching various videos on YouTube and I saw someone use these oval make up blending brushes. They work great!! I’m so chuffed.

I’ve embossed the background with clear embossing powder and the Stacked Stone background stamp set. When you sponge the ink, it will only take where there is no embossing. The clear embossed sections will resist the ink.

Thinking of Your Card

Hello again,

Today I have a gorgeous card using the Rooted in Nature stamp set. I love this set and it has matching framelits!!! This card can be a sympathy card or just a card to say I’m thinking of you.

This is a very simple card with a standard A6 card base and one additional piece of whisper white cardstock measuring 10cm x 14.35cm.

I love the blending of the yellows and oranges in this card. It’s one of my favourite parts of crafting; playing with colours

I hope you enjoy the card and video
